PASTA de RESCUE / PERFECTAMUNDO!!!

Our second annual Pasta de Rescue was held recently at the Albany Elks Lodge to benefit the Italian Greyhound Rescue. The night was a tremendous success. Everyone came to support both Ryley's Run and the Italian Greyhound Rescue. Some new faces and many old faces showed up not only for their love of dogs; but for their love of Italian food and mostly for a good cause. The room was filled with great conversation and a wonderful spirit that could be felt throughout the night.

Once again, Coach Chris Cannata and the U of Albany Women's Softball Team came to help out and brought their homemade mouth watering desserts. We cannot thank them enough for all their help. They are a great bunch and they managed the 50/50 raffle once again and did a great job.

The winner of the 50/50, Paula Lockhart, was so touched by the work being done in rescue that she gave back her winnings so that the Italian Greyhound Rescue would benefit even more on this night.

Also we welcomed a new rescue, Forever Home Rescue of the Capital District. They came and were able to get the word out about their new young rescue organization. We wish them well.

Enough cannot be said about the four wonderful Italian Greyhound dogs that were making the rounds with their donation vests. They were so well behaved and were a big hit with all the folks.

Ryley's Run sends out a special thank you to young Cameron Jette who managed the Rally to Rescue table and did quite well. His hard work was apparent and very much appreciated.

A very special thanks to not only the Albany Elks Lodge but to Frank Viggiano, who did all the cooking. No one left hungry. Also, a very special thank you to all of the IG Rescue volunteers, who worked endlessly to make sure the event was a success. Special thanks to Mary Beth Jette and Cynthia Klopfer . We would be remiss if we did not thank the Albany County Sheriff's Union who made a generous donation which will help a few dogs have a better life. If you missed the event this year? Don't despair; we expect to see all of you next year

Ryley's Run is pleased to announce Miss Sadie's Barkery as their official barkery.

They have created a dog biscuit made exclusively for Ryley's Run and Rally To Rescue, which can be purchased through Miss Sadie's or you can buy them at Pets Supplies Plus.

Beth has designed the biscuit herself and with the approval of Rally To Rescue will be selling them at events along with her other fine baked goods.
